I don’t know if anyone remembers BlackVoices.com before Huffington Post purchased it?  It was community web site that focused on African American topics.  It was kind of a Black Facebook you could say. Huffington Post basically shut the message board section of the site down and turned it into a rss feed site for African American news.  I always had the idea of making a site like this for my Black Community in Chicago.

I decided to build BlackChicagoNow.com.  BlackChicagoNow.com  is Chicago’s only online African American blogging network & Black Chicago business directory.  User can join the site and set up a profile , create a blog, list events, start a discussion & create a business listing.
