About Me
I Have A Passion Digital Creativity!
Hello everyone my name is Jimmy Emanon Rucker. I am a web designer from Chicago with over 20 years experience. I have always enjoyed the creativity that web design has provided me.
There is no limit to what you can create on the web. I started hosting websites on my own Windows 98 server that I accessed online using a dialup internet account. Does anyone remember DailUps LOL. I created my first graphics using Paint Shop Pro and later enrolled in an Adobe Class at the Chicago Art Institute to learn how to use Photoshop, Illustrator and the rest of the Adobe suite. My web design journey led me to photography, as I quickly learned it is virtually impossible to design a website without decent photos.
One of my main web design goals was to create a Black media company. This media company would contains online city & neighborhood guides for African Americans as well as multicultural city guides.
The name of this company is EmanonMedia.com. The construction of EmanonMedia has taken me over 10 years. WhatsGoodChicago.com, BlackChicagoNow.com, BronzevilleNow.com, HydeParkNow.com are a few of the online city and neighborhood guides that I have created for EmanonMedia.
Web design is an ever changing environment that constantly challenge’s me to learn new web development skills. Currently I am expanding my development knowledge by learning Full-Stack frameworks Node.js and Laravel.
